Her love for children and drive to be an integral part of their growth and development led her to obtain a Bachelor of Science in Family Studies from University of Maryland, College Park, MD. Then she continued, while teaching, and obtained her Master of Arts Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from McDaniel College, Westminster, MD. Currently, she is in her thirteenth year in the education field where she served as an elementary special education resource teacher and instructional specialist.
Krissie’s educational belief is that every child is able to learn given the correct modifications and accommodations. Learning can be achieved through all intelligence. As the director, she provides a safe and healthy learning environment, full of smiles and laughter. There are qualified teachers in every classroom. Engaging curriculum, up-to-date technology, and effective communication are in place for all classrooms. Furthermore, children can absorb a wealth of knowledge from their peers and teachers. All children should come excited and eager to learn for the day and have fun.
When she is not working, Krissie enjoys spending time with her family. She coaches swimming year-round to children ages 2-18. Shopping, reading, and spending time at the beach are favorite things to do in her downtime.
